'X-Men' Box Office Looking Strong Despite Bryan Singer Scandal

When X-Men: Days of Future Past opens this weekend, it could be the biggest opener of the franchise’s 14-year history. Exhibitor Relations expects the film will earn $100 million over the weekend and $120 million if you take the holiday into account. The biggest opening so far for an X-Men movie was 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand which opened to $102 million. The latest X-Men movie currently accounts for more than 90% of early ticket sales on website Fandango.
