Aereo Is Beheaded, Content Is King

Broadcasters stood up to Internet pirate Aereo and won a victory in the US Supreme Court, dealing a fatal blow to the technology startup. Aereo shut down its online streaming service on June 28th, “pausing while it regroups to map out [a new business strategy],” according to the company’s website. To restart operations, Aereo will have to pay content providers license fees to distribute their shows, and it probably won’t be cheap.
