Apple saw a slight decline in its tablet market share from 33.8% in the December 2013 quarter to 32.5% in the March 2014 quarter according to IDC. This is in contrast to a year ago when its share increased from 38.1% to 40.2%, however there was a backlog of iPads exiting the 2012 holiday season that helped the company sell more in the March 2013 quarter.
