In the age, of Edward Snowden, Julian Assange and Chelsea (Bradley) Manning, Watch Dogs seemed like it was going to be one of the more culturally relevant video game releases of our time. The NSA is overreaching so far and so often, even the government itself is raising eyebrows regarding its practices. Giant social media sites are constantly accused of breaching user trust, turning over data to corporations for more invasive, targeted ads. There are so many issues with privacy in the digital age, the subject is ripe for exploration across all forms of media, video games included.
