U.K. inflation rate turns negative for first time since 1960

For the first time since 1960, consumer prices in the U.K. have fallen, based on historical estimates. The Office for National Statistics says prices in April were down 0.1 per cent from a year ago, with the largest downward contribution coming from transport services, notably air and sea fares.
