Burgess Shale fossil beds in B.C. reveal ancient ancestor of spiders, lobsters

A newly identified marine creature found in a shale site on the Alberta-B.C. border lived more than 509 millions years ago, more than 250 million years before the first dinosaur walked the Earth.
