This is a guest post from Lawrence Flynn, the CEO of Artificial Solution, a software firm that develops natural language processing (NLP) services and was established in Stockholm, Sweden in 2001. Flynn joined Artificial Solutions in May 2010 to step in as CEO, replacing co-founder and board director Johan Åhlund. National language processing is one of the key technologies underpinning digital personal assistants like Apple’s Siri, Google Now and Microsoft’s forthcoming virtual assistant, Cortana, which may work on rival platforms like Android and iOS.
