For weeks, columnists, fans, and television personalities have debated the popularity of this year’s FIFA World Cup. Every four years the fans of soccer in the U.S. say that this is the year. This is the year that soccer gets its just due and gains in popularity to be ranked with the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.
