In 1999, I went to a summer camp on a mountain in Maryland that was Star Wars themed. The motto was “Do or do not. There is no try.” Nothing would top a water balloon fight between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. How could it? I was one year away from high school and childhood was creeping to a close. I thought it was my last retreat into the woods—my last liberation of imagination in the company of quick-bonding strangers in sports sandals.
