Call it life imitating a lesser-praised Matthew McConaughey movie. Imagine approaching your mid-30s and still being financially dependent on your parents. For 43% of 30 – 33 year -old Millennials — those at the very edge of the generational cut-off — that’s their reality. A recent survey conducted by Yconic/Abacus on behalf of Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper also found that almost 20% of 30 – 33 year-olds still lived at home and 17% reported getting help from Mom and Dad to pay their bills.
