Shutterfly Congratulates A Bunch Of People Without Babies On Their 'New Arrivals'

It’s the digital advertising equivalent of asking a woman who is not pregnant when she is due. Shutterfly’s Twitter account is in hyper-drive today apologizing to a slew of users who received an email from the Internet-image-publishing service congratulating them on their “new arrival,” complete with a photo of a sibling cradling a newborn baby.  “There’s nothing more amazing than bringing a new life into the world,” says the emailed ad, encouraging lucky new parents to use their services to order birth announcement mailings, even though many recipients had nothing to announce, and in some unfortunate cases, something to mourn.
