President Obama has said he wants the federal government to come up with a ranking system for colleges that compares graduation rates, student debt and how much money students earn after graduation. According to a report Monday in The New York Times, Jamienne Studley, a deputy under secretary at the Education Department, has suggested to college presidents that this will be an easy task. “It’s like rating a blender,” she reportedly said.
