Blizzard threatens NYC, New England with up to 70 cm of snow

A blizzard of potentially historic proportions threatened to strike the Northeast U.S. with a vengeance Friday, with up to 60 centimetres of snow feared along the densely populated Interstate 95 corridor from the New York City area to Boston and beyond.
